Research Interests

As a Natural Resources Horticulturist at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, I'm interested in looking at tradeoffs for different management strategies to better assist our team and other land managers on the maintenance and restoration of tall grass ecosystems within the region. I work in big woods, prairie and wetland ecosystems at the MLA, and my research right now focuses on effects of herbicide, prescribed fire, and its tradeoffs among management for birdsfoot trefoil and subsequent native species diversity in a tallgrass prairie.

About me

I love to mountain bike, cross country ski, and trail run.

Favorite tree: My favorite tree right now is Blue beech (Carpinus caroliniana).
