Research Interests

Broadly, I'm interested in exploring forest ecology and regeneration patterns and tying those to ecological silviculture practices. I also have particular interests in wetland vegetation dynamics, especially around river systems. Happily for me, my current research project is studying floodplain forest dynamics in the Upper Mississippi River region using dendrochronology along with inventory and environmental data.

About me

I love to get outside as much as possible, which usually takes the form of walks/hikes with my dog and husband (with many stops to look at plants), skiing, biking, or canoeing. Indoors, I like achieving max hygge status with a mug of something warm and a good book, show, or game.
