Research Interests

I am interested in forest and disturbance ecology - particularly how management activities can increase forests' resilience to disturbances and how disturbances unfolding spatially across the landscape.

Currently, I am studying the effects of a spatial-explicit disturbance – eastern dwarf mistletoe infestation – in lowland black spruce forests and the consequences for management at both the stand and landscape scales.

When I'm not in the woods, I'm...

Reading, cooking or baking, and likely planning my next venture to the woods
