Research Interests

My research focuses on forest land cover and use variation. I am interested in looking at factors driving forest composition and land use change. Specifically, how these changes influence carbon cycles within forest ecosystems and forest-related ecosystems. I am also interested in studying how forest carbon accumulation or flux respond to climate change along with natural disturbances and anthropogenic management.

When I'm not in the woods, I...

I enjoy hiking and observing natural landscapes when I have a break. If I see some interesting plant species which I have not seen before, I will try to find out their names. In addition, I like to try any outdoor activities that I have not done before.
