Research Interests

I work on questions related to forest growth and development incorporating environmental, ecological, and forest inventory data available from various sources.

I am currently involved in Rapid Forest Inventory, Guidelines Monitoring and Assessment, and 3-D Forest Canopy Change Mapping

My overarching research goal is to apply forest biometrics approaches to analyses of the development and sustainability of ecological, social, and economic values of the forest.

When I'm not in the woods, I'm...

I love to garden and grow bonsai trees and dahlias. I am a father to two young girls (ages 6 and 7), and spend a lot of time at the park and biking with them.
